LF solutions: freeze and crash issues, Acer AN515-41

Due to various COVID-related circumstances, I had to buy a new laptop from an online seller earlier this year. Long story short, there is no way to return it, so I'm left with either buying an new one and scraping this one for parts or just fixing this one.
I've been using it for a few days. Within that time, I've had multiple crashes. Generally, everything just completely shuts down with no warning. Once or twice there's been a split second screen and device input freeze before the crash. Sys is Windows 10, error logs show error 6008 and critical error 41. Logs also show that this issue was present and common before the computer was sold to me as well. I'd like some input on what might be the most likely culprit(s) for this error and how to fix it. There's no blue screen, just a total blackout and automatic restarting. There's also no error message about a crash or disc check when it restarts, it just restarts as if it's been turned on normally.
I had a game running for over 5 solid hours and it ran fine the entire time, even though the CPU was clearly getting pretty warm. After I closed out the game and switched to some other online task I got two crashes within an hour. I'm planning on opening it up later and checking the fans and thermal paste, but I've had crashes when the laptop is both warm and totally cool, so I'm not sure it's a heat issue.
I don't get the impression that this is related to any recent driver update, due to the persistence of the issue. A crash also occurred shortly after I had first set up the laptop, before it was updated. Would appreciate input from folks who may have more experience with this model. I've never had an Acer before. There seem to be threads for this on a few sites, but I've yet to see a solid solution.

Well it depends were you want to start getskilled Software or Hardware:

Software: i will format the unit to factry settings and perform all updates after that and see if the issues continues

Hardware: You can start by removing the RAM(s) fisrt before going into the thermal paste and fans stuff, even undervolting it, here check this threads out, they might help you:

    hope it helps

☑ No trabajo para Acer, soy voluntario.

Those don't help. Already tried the factory reset and updates. I checked the fans and paste, but they seem fine. Nothing weird with the RAM. I have a new ssd I can try swapping in, but I'm not sure that's the cause of the issue, and frankly, cloning or reinstalling systems is not something I enjoy doing for no reason if I can help it, especially if that involves having to deal with bloody Cortana.
Only reason I haven't done it yet is because it NEVER has the crash issue as long as the game client is open. Not even the full game, but even just having the game launcher open seems to prevent it from happening, which makes me think it could be software instead, but I don't know what exactly.
Temp and fan activation seem to have nothing to do with it. CPU seems fine.
