XF270H Monitor recognized by Macbook Pro but still showing "No Signal"

Hello,

I'm having connection problems with my XF270H Acer Monitor. I've had this monitor for almost 2 years now and it has worked fine with my Windows desktop and laptop.

Today, I tried to connect the monitor to my Macbook Pro using a new USB-C to HDMI cable I bought from Amazon. Upon doing so, a window showed up on my mac titled "Acer XF270H B" with options for display, color, resolution, etc. However, the monitor shows the "No Signal" box for a few seconds then goes to sleep. I've tried pressing the "Detect Display" button in the System Preferences settings, but to no avail.

It seems that the monitor is being recognized by the Mac yet not by the monitor...? Any idea what the problem/solution might be?

Help would be appreciated.

Thank you!
