Did this happen suddenly for no apparent reason? Or did you try to change the factory-installed operating system? Jack E/NJ

OK. Turn it off. Remove the charger. Remove the battery. Then press & hold the power button for about 60 seconds. Then plug the charger back in BUT NOT THE BATTERY.  Then turn the machine on and immediately start tapping the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu. Once inside the BIOS menu, F9 to set BIOS defaults. Then press F10 to save settings and exit the BIOS menu. Does the machine now boot after exiting the BIOS menu without the battery? Jack E/NJ

Hi JackE, sorry for the late reply.
The battery is inside the laptop.
Shall i proceed to take the case off and remove it, then follow your instructions ?

Yes. Just disconnect battery from the mainboard. Put the cover back on. Plug the charger back in. Then try to turn it  on with battery disconnected. Jack E/NJ

Press and hold power button till machine shuts off. Then turn it back on and immediately start tapping the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu. If the HDD shows up in BOTH the BIOS Infomation and Boot tabs, press F10 to save settings and exit the menu. If the machine now boots, then the BIOS coin Lithium cell should be  replaced since it only has a shelf life of 7-9 years. Jack E/NJ

Re-enter the BIOS menu. Check the BIOS Main tab to make sure the F12 and D2D options are enabled. F10 to save settings and exit. Press and hold the power button again to shut it off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear to allow refreshing Windows while trying to save personal files or resetting to a factory fresh condition. Jack E/NJ
