Hi,

Hoping someone can help, my daughter has been experiencing some odd issues with her Acer Nitro laptop.

Basically, when she is watching videos, on say YouTube, it appears to play a second audio track, it's an odd little music track playing alongside.

It also occasionally will stop playing to the headphones and play out the speaker, before then playing back into the headphones, so it almost feels like a hardware issue on the sound card, but not sure.

I have played with many of the settings to try and remove any sound effects and the likes, and also tried to do a recovery to factory (Keeping files, I haven't attempted to do one with deleting files as yet).

I have also checked drivers etc, and all seems fine and happy, but cannot find what is going on.

Anyone had anything similar or any suggestions?

Model is AN515-55-764B and P/N NH.Q7PEK.002

I only bought it for her around September time so I can return it under warranty if needed, but just want to make sure that it is necessary before doing that.

Many thanks

J

Since the sound is present even after a factory reset, it is probably a hardware issue. Returning seems like the best option here.

Yeah, I had thought that, but wasn't sure if there was any other random software within the Acer bundle that could be causing.  Fun and games!
