      I am having the same problem.
      G9 793 79PE
      Loud buzzing. Still happens after disabling both sound devices in device manager.
      Cold boot, with a few minute wait stops it.
      But if you run World of Warcraft, it comes back. Needs a cold boot to stop.
      It's getting worse. Seems to be heat related, but not sure.
      I bought this new about 3 years ago, so out of warranty.
      My guess is hardware failure of some sort.
      Any help?
