Acer swift 3 (SF13-42) HDMI buzzing noise

Hi there, my laptop is making a loud buzzing noise through my headphones whenever HDMI is plugged in, i've already tried many different HDMI cables and even different displays along with reinstalling both the AMD audio drivers and the Realtek audio drivers, is there something i'm doing wrong or did i get a lemon?

    Typically this is a sign there's something wrong with the ground on your power, and you are hearing a loop between the computer ground and the monitor ground. Are the computer and monitor connected to the same power strip? To the same outlet on the wall? To the same UPS?

    Hi there, the two are on different circuits to my knowledge, the wall outlet that i use to charge my laptop is on a different circuit, the noise also persists when the laptop is on battery power, allthough it is quieter when the charger is plugged in.

    Any chance the headphone jack isn't fully seated in the socket? IIRC there's a rubber bit that you have to push past in order to get a full seat, and being out a bit could also cause grounding noise.

    The headphones do come out quite easily when im using them but i believe this is just something with the jack, ive changed headphones and it helped quite a bit but there is still a very audible buzz

    Also sometimes the plastic around the headphone plug is wide enough to interfere with going in fully, so look at that closely as well. They should be fully seated in the jack.

    hi there, it does appear to be fully seated, the issue does still only happen when HDMI is connected

    Do you have a different HDMI cable you can test with? They are only supposed to have the shield ground connected at one end, but sometimes the cheaper ones connect both ends, which can acerbate a ground loop.

    Hi there, ive used 2 different cables, ones a syncwire cable which ive heard is a good brand
