Hello everyone, I ran into a problem for which there was no answer. In Windows, the laptop on and off button does not work, all other function buttons work. The BIOS has been updated to the latest version, the drivers are not buggy. This problem exists with the purchase of a laptop. Nitro AN517-52.
Hope for your help

Hi,
Try pressing the Power button until you see the "Acer Power button", tick the box marked in my snip, next time when you press power button to switch off it will work.

Hi,
Are you pressing the button once to switch on? If you press twice, it won't switch on, anyway give this a try, switch off the laptop, disconnect AC adapter, press Power button for 9 Secs, leave it to rest for few minutes. reconnect AC adapter and try starting.0 -
The knock itself works (the laptop turns on), but it is in windows that there is no reaction to pressing (you cannot turn off the laptop when working in Windows). such an error that Windows does not see it or this button is not used.0

You mean the Windows Start button(snip)? If so, right click start, and select "Shut down or sign out" and see what happens.

I meant the button on the keyboard that is responsible for turning on and off0

OK, go to Device manager, expand Keyboards, right click Standard PS/2 keyboard and select Properties, move to Driver tab and uninstall the driver, reboot and let Windows install the driver, sometimes reinstalling the driver resolves these minor glitches.0
