Memory upgrade procedure Aspire TC-875

I want to upgrade the memory of an Aspire TC-875 desktop. Initially equipped with one 8GB UDIMM.  I purchased the Crucial-recommended 16GB DDR4-3200 UDIMM, 1.2v. CL22.  When I install this module on the next memory slot the desktop does not boot, and beeps continuously.  The 16GB module does not work either added or replacing the original 8GB module.  The desktop only works with the original 8GB module only.  How can I add to or replace the 8GB module?

    I want to provide a resolution to my question regarding the Acer Aspire TC-875 UR13 desktop.  Note that there are some minor differences between the UR13 model and the UR11 and UR12, although some web pages treat all three models equally as far as memory specs. 
    • I returned the original DIMM module "Crucial RAM 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL22 Desktop Memory CT16G4DFRA32A". Billsey earlier said "The Aspire TC-875 supports 2666 memory, not 3200 and that is likely where the issue lies." Billsey may be correct, even though the Crucial memory advisor site says that memory modules up to 3200 MHz are compatible, and the desktop was originally equipped with a 3200 MHz module: 8ATF1G64AZ-3G2J1 8GB 1600.0 MHz (DDR4-3200 / PC4-25600) 1.2V CL22. The web page https://www.memorystock.com/memory/AcerAspireTC875UR13.html had some different information that I have not tried to confirm:
    •  Other sites say the max is 32GB, and
      Memory Type & Info
      DDR4 PC4-21300 2666MHz Non-ECC DIMM
      Other sites say that 3200MHz memory is also compatible.
    • Memory used that seems to work properly: 
    • Note the desktop worked also with one of the new 16GB DIMMs with the original 8GB DIM in the other slot.  So is 3200 MHz memory ok for 8GB DIMMs but not for higher capacity DIMMs?

    Could you please post the full model name/number on the original module and the one you are trying to add.

    Have a look at your OEM memory specs with CPUz or HWiNFO64, as the 16GB DDR4-3200 UDIMM, 1.2v. CL22 must not be supported on by your Aspire TC-875 desktop. The best way is to find our exactly what your "Total Capacity RAM" is or "Get Full PC Memory Specs" through these cmd prompt commands to make sure and to add the suitable memory, don't believe and or get guides from memory manufacturers and/or sellers.

    The Aspire TC-875 supports 2666 memory, not 3200 and that is likely where the issue lies. Contact Crucial about replacements. You can use 4GB, 8GB or 16GB sticks in any order.

    Hi,
    I agree with the suggestion by @billsey and another thing to consider is that it could be a faulty module because the module didn't work on it's own.

    Also and as a simple suggestion, look at your Intel's processor specs under "Memory Specifications" (or of whatever other Intel processor you have?) as the Intel® Core™ i5-10400 Processor specs (which I think is what you have as an OEM) under "Memory Types" the suggested memory type is the DDR4-2666MHz, the DDR4-3200MHz is not suggested by Intel. It’s a simple guide and a guide that works 100% of what you can put in unless, your BIOS’s memory can be altered/overclocked to accomodate overclocked memory which is another art of increasing performance, that will not go into.
