Hello everyone, I have a question.
I have a Predator Helios 300 PH315-52, i7 with the GTX 1660it, for more than a year now, I bought this one in August 2019. Since September the fan is making a weird noise, sometimes goes away, sometimes is even louder. Like if you have something in the way of the blades. The sound is way louder on the CPU fan side.

But my question is, on the Predator Sense while looking at the temperature is sitting between 60 to 70 Celsius, CPU fan speed is 2200 to 2350. If I go to custom I could increase the CPU speed. Since yesterday this is not possible anymore. The custom tab doesn't change the CPU fan speed only, the GPU fan speed is changing fine for now.

Don't ask me to play some game to see the temp rising and the speeding going up, I was playing overwatch when I saw the speed on 2280rpm with CPU temp at 91. I stopped playing immediately because something is wrong.

I honestly don't know what is happening.
Tomorrow I will open it and try to clean it to see if it will resolve. But if anyone has another suggestion, I'm open to hearing them.

Thanks for your time.

Ok ok. Quick update. After a deep cleaning into the CPU Fan and put a little bit of lubricant oil the issue is gone, the predator sense is now controlling the speed correctly-ish. I think the max speed isn't what was before. In the future, I might need to get a new CPU fan to replace it.

Ok, another new update. The Fan is working, but progressively dying. I'm might need to buy a new one to replace it sooner than I thought. Even on max speed and CPU on freaking 91 celsius the speed wasn't above 4000rpm today.

just put the fans to max or a  high custom setting  manually before you game as auto mode doesnt go as high. if you want performance cooling...
sounds like your bearing is gone? means replacement like you said.
What oil did u use btw ?

It doesn't change, anyway the CPU fan isn't going at full speed, auto, custom or max.
Well, I used an all purpose oil that I use on haircut machine, on the blades.

Also, do you know where I can find a replacement fan to buy in Toronto Canada? I was about to start looking for a new one.
