Microphone Input Issue- Acer Aspire C24- 963 All in One PC

I’ve been having quite a lengthy issue with the microphone input when I use a cloud gaming service (shadow PC).

my headset and microphone is plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack on the rear of the computer.
It works correctly on the local PC, registering sound and mic input correctly. However, when I log into my Shadow PC, (the cloud computer), only the audio works and the input for the mic is not detected.

I thought that this issue could be on the side of Shadow, (the cloud service) , but when trying the same headset, on shadow, through a MacBook pro, the audio input is detected just fine. Leading me to believe that the issue lies somewhere with how the Acer computer transmits input audio?

I have also tried this with a USB headset and the same issue occurs.

I have tried all solutions online, messing with the settings in the sound settings and to no avail.

Im hoping someone here can help.

Thanks

I'd guess it's the Shadow app, that is going to be different between the PC and Mac, so could explain how they act differently.

I thought this may have been the issue, but then I tried shadow on a PC at work , with headphones and it works absolutely fine... therefore the only thing it can be is the Acer PC ?

Is there any chance you have something running that takes over the mic? If the mic works at all with applications in Windows, it should work with that app.

Nothing that I can think of. The only difference between the MacBook and the Acer is that the Acer has the built in microphone I think. I’ve tried deactivating it to see if maybe they were conflicting, but no luck
