Hello! I have an aspire v572g (i3 5005u, nvidia 840m, 8 gb ram, crucial bx 500 ssd and 500 gb hdd, gigabit lan)
Recently the provider upgraded the 100mbps internet to gigabit 1000/300 mbps.
As I check speedtest with my laptop on CAT6 lan cable, the download speed is barely over 100-150 mbps(the record was around 300 mbps). Meanwhile the laptop  can reach the maxium upload speed of 300mbps. On pc the with cat5e cable the speed is 800/300 mbps so its okay.
What is the problem with the laptop, is the hardvare to weak to handle gigabit download speed? What are your suggestions?

I doubt anything's wrong with the laptop. At exactly the same time you're seeing 800/300 on the other machine, you have to also measure it on the laptop.  Download speeds can vary wildly with the time of day and usage by others using the same provider. Do the test at  3 am in the morning when the provider's traffic should be lower. Jack E/NJ

I have tested it with a vostro laptop.. 800/300 mbps.... So something is wrong with my acer. But i have tried every lan driver from the support website, even the one that win10 downloads ... but no use. What else could i do (besides formatting)

Try the same cable on both at about the same time of day. Jack E/NJ
