Hi there,
My wife has recently bought an Aspore 7 Laptop and in the box were instructions on how to install a second SSD and so increasing the memory. I have a Swift 3 Laptop (SF314-58-81Q1) is it possible to add a second SSD to increase the memory or do I have to replace the memory to a bigger SSD?

Hi,
Yes, you have a HDD/SSD bay, you may have to buy the cable, HDD bracket and screws(you can use any spare screws from old HDDs).
Part number for the cable: 50.GXKN1.005
Part number for the bracket: 60.GXKN1.002

Hi,
You have a 2.5" HDD bay, if you want to increase the storage, you can add another 2.5" HDD/SSD in the bay or you could upgrade the M.2 SSD to a larger SSD.0 -
Hi Brummyfan,
I have an SSD installed already which is the spec for this Laptop. So inside there is another space for a HDD/SDD, is that correct?

Hi,
Good morning, could you please post the snip of your Disk Management, right click start to go to Disk Management.

Go to Settings, System and click Storage in the left pane, click Manage Storage spaces in the right pane, when you click "Create a new pool....", if you see the box ticked for the HDD, remove it(like in my snip).

Hi,
Give this a try, the drive may have to be initialised, go to start and type "Create and format hard drive", then follow the instructions in the video:SSD not showing up Windows 10 - Activate SSD in 1 minute in Windows Explorer - YouTube0 -
Hi,NO Luck the drive doesn't come up in the System Information and i can't get the initiation box to come up as shown in the video below0

Sorry for the confusion the screenshot was from the YouTube video. What I get is no initiation box and no Disk 1 section0
