Your current mainboard is setup up for dualcore CPUs shown below. Other dualcore i7 CPUs with the same package socket may work but not 100%.  Google the part number "NB.RYQ11.001" for the quadcore mainboard with 4 RAM sockets. It's still available from some suppliers but double-check with supplier to confirm quadcore and 4 RAM sockets. Jack E/NJ

Firstly, the NB.RYQ11.001 as JackE said won’t work as you haven’t got an appropriate BIOS or upgrades for it because of its 4x RAM slots. Also, there is no such thing as the "i7-310qm" there is the i7-3610QM (the Socket G2-i7-3610QM 4 core 8 threads) will work on the mainboard Socket G2 on the V3 series laptops and mainboards with the V3-7771G x2 RAM slots which has the appropriate BIOS's of the MBR v1.14 or the GPT v2.28 BIOS’s, otherwise I don't know and as JackE said "google for the quadcore mainboard NB.RYQ11.001 (see caption below) with 4 RAM slot" and if the i7-3610QM will work or if the BIOS works?

Btw, one of my resurrected laptops is a V3-571G that runs model mainboard VA50_HC_CR HM77 chipset (and I know this laptops components inside out and have done lots of mods on it and have taken every component out) which has the NVIDIA GeForce 640M graphics and it runs an OEM i7-3610QM that I've upgraded its drive to a Samsung 850 EVO SSD 1TB and runs PC3-14900 RAM at 8GB (2x 4GB in its 2x slots) and I've taken the DVD out and used a caddy in the DVD drive space for the OEM spinner HDD as a slave, this has been running perfectly with no issues for 3 years in this spec form with Win-10 Pro and the current version 20H2 OS build 19042.630 with no problem ever.

The i7-3610QM is quite a good and fast Socket G2 CPU which could be a compatible upgrade for your V3-771G? The i7-3610QM is a 4 core/8 thread/2.3 GHz to 3.3 GHz/L2 1MB/L3 6MB and at 45W TDP which is a proven and compatible Socket G2 CPU for the V3 series, the best and most affective upgrades are not only the CPU but and as I've said, an SSD and to the V3's max 8GB RAM (you can't run more than 8GB of RAM on the
VA50_HC_CR HM77 chipset motherboard BIOS) also, the 2x DDRL3 PC3-14900 RAM works perfectly as that will also improve the performance of your V3-771G greatly, that is what I would suggest to you, the combination upgrade that I've outlined is a proven and workable spec that works well with OEM V3's and is very efficient, simple. Good luck and hope this helps, and my advice is, don't waist your money on unworkable mods or unsuitable mods!
