if my laptop is in AC power mode, does that mean it is not taking power from my battery. And, is it safe to keep my laptop plugged in at al times with AC power mode?

  • There will be a minimum consumption of battery power. Now, when there is a need to provide more performance, you will find that the battery power will be consumed and the battery will automatically recharge when it reaches 40%.

It runs at AC power unless that's not enough and then it may use a little power from batter, but mostly, it does run at "full" AC power... At least that's what I think and I'd like egydiocoelho to confirm.

The reason why I'm not sure anymore is because my laptop randomly makes this noise when I'm playing games and stops charging even if my battery charger is connected, and my battery indicator keeps flashing. Is this a feature or is this a problem?

Also, for egydiocoelho: What are the details regarding this battery action you mentioned here?

Where can I find them in settings and can I change them?

Thanks in advance for the help!
  • Yes, that is exactly it. But as I said earlier, it is possible that there is a small consumption of battery power. See this link too: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=&sl=pt&tl=en&u=https://br.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/48308
