I have the same exact problem. I've been trying to reinstall windows 8.1, windows 10 and even with the recovery disk that is now un a USB drive. But for some reason every attempt fail when it tries to write the boot record. I already tried disabling Uefi but I had no luck. I have to say that I have some experience with computers and I even tried through command line. I believe there's some kind of restriction. Any help will he really appreciated.

Make sure your drive is set as GPT, not MBR...
