I have tried to upgrade RAM and putting HDD ref https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/621557/hdd-and-ram-upgrade-for-my-aspire-5-a514-53
RAM successfully did. But facing issues with HDD, after inserting HDD I am not able to put back cover due to the gap at the HDD bay .. the back cover is having some projection/gap due to HDD. Do I need to remove anything from the bay etc

As mentioned earlier, the A514-53 is designed for a 7mm thick 2.5" HDD or SSD, not a 9.5mm thick HDD. You might  be able to use the thicker drive without its frame if you immobilize and protect the drive with antistatic foam. Jack E/NJ

What do you mean by an HDD!!!!???? You originally said that you were going to add an SSD, not an HDD. What HDD did you buy? HDDs, unlike SSDs, come in two thickness sizes. 7mm and 9.5mm. If you bought the thick size HDD,  you may have issues attaching a metal frame to it. You can fix this by not using the frame but by immobilizing and protecting the HDD with foam. Jack E/NJ
