After firmware update from 1.02 to 1.06, I run into troubles with machine's performance.
Memory timings before DDR4-2400 17-17-17-39 CR1
Memory timings after DDR4-2351 17-17-17-39 CR2
After firmware update, CPU coller is working with low performace. Cooler works quite silently but CPU reduces frequerecy to avoid overheating.
I work with CAD and and this performance los is very regretfull to me.
On Acer support page there are no any files to restore firmware.
I am looking for a way to restore the firmware 1.02.

Sorry, you cannot restore 1.02 firmware directly from the ACER BIOS download site. I suggest that you first try to download and run iobit's DriverBooster freeware to see if it will pick up any new hardware drivers to restore performance. There are also other options we might try if still no success. Jack E/NJ

    Thank for your reply.
The iobit's Driver Booster has not made any difference.

Open ControlPanel. Search 'power plan'. Click 'choose a power plan' in left pane. Make sure power plan is set to performance mode. Then click the change advanced power plan settings in performance mode. In the box that pops up, click the processor power management folder. Set maximum power state to 100% on both battery and plugged in. Jack E/NJ

I have tryed all these bells and whistles in the windows control panel.
Working solution that I have found today to restore full performance of cooler is [Vorstellung] NoteBook FanControl (NBFC)
Memory timings issue is  open. I hope Acer in order to restore performance of the product publish new version of firmware.

Thanks for report. As a general rule, BIOS updates should only be reserved for machines with serious performance or use issues because unlike device drivers they should be considered irreversible and have a greater risk of bricking the mainboard. Jack E/NJ
