Hello, as the title says, my Nitro 5 AN515-44-R85K, has a awful boot time now that I have installed two 16GB Ram Sticks (RAM SO-DIMM HyperX Impact 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4-3200MHz CL20).
But after booting, the laptop runs very well with lightning speed with all the 32GB of Ram (31,1 to be exact).

I wonder if there is anything I can do to change this.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,
Go to Task Manager, move to Start-up tab and post the picture like mine, while you are in the Start-up tab, disable the programs you don't need to start when you boot the system.

Yeah I did that, and it didn't work, still takes around 40-50 seconds to boot up.
The funny thing is that the bios time is around 3.4 seconds, but it gets stuck on the green acer logo.

as you can see, boot time is 4.6 seconds, but it still gets stuck on the acer logo at the beginning .
  • Hi,
You could try disabling star-up items and see whether it reduce the startup time.

Problem solved, i guess the computer needed to "get used" to the new ram sticks, now it boots in like 2-3 seconds

I am having the same problem using 2 different memory sticks, the same 16gb you are which is a slightly slower one, and the original 8gb. I am thinking of switching the one out for the same 16gb and hoping it solves the problem.

As far as I know, memory sticks with different speeds might cause speed problems, try using just one of the sticks and see if it improves.
