Spin 1 sp111-33 will not finish booting up - powers off? Windows 10 fresh install does nothing

Have an Acer Spin 1 sp111-33.   After the latest Windows update, the system went into a boot loop.  3 Days after warranty expires of course.  After trying several recovery methods, all failing, I defaulting to a reinstallation of windows from USB (after disabling secure boot in BIOS).  This has resulted in the system trying to load at start up, acer logo, seems to  be starting...., then quick flash of the screen and power off.  I've tried a reinstall a few times now, and the installation always seems to work right up until the end, but then powers off.   The system seems fine off USB.   I'd say it was a disk driver issue, and maybe it is,  but the power off?  It's almost like in the start of boot the system suddenly needs to much power draw for something and flatlines.

Describe exactly where things happen. You see the Acer splash screen and can enter the BIOS. If you stay in the BIOS for quite a while will it fail, or is it only after trying to load Windows? The sequence that is supposed to happen is you turn on power, the system does a processor check and memory check, loads the splash screen then finishes up the POST (Power On Self Test). Once it has passed POST it loads the reset of the BIOS from the EFI partition and determines which OS to start and where to start it from. Then it starts loading the OS, you will see the juggling balls at this point. Once the OS is mostly loaded it blanks the screen and then goes to the login screen. I'm guessing yours fails during the Windows load...

Correct Billsey, Acer screen, juggly  balls, black screen, flash.  Off.   I can stay in the BIOS and PC will remain on forever, without powering off/failing.  Same when booting off of USB. I reset BIOS recently but still no difference. I thought I deleted ALL partitions and recreated at one point during windows install (spins up primary and 100MB reserved).  Can do that again if recommended.

Firstly, the Spin 1 (SP111-33) is a pretty low spec laptop. What is the exact specs of your Spin 1 (SP111-33)? Is it the Spin with the Celeron 4000 1.10 GHz Dual-core (2 Core) CPU with the inbuilt 4 GB RAM and come with the 64GB eMMC drive? Or is it the Spin 1 (SP111-33) that come with the 500 GB Serial ATA drive? As three is a big difference between the two.

The problems that you are experiencing is either your RAM or HDD or PS and that is why you are getting a looping and an interrupted process of your installation as and most probably this mainly happens with a faulty RAM or PS if the power goes off. Check both of these components as the RAM is imbedded as is the 64GB eMMC drive, if you have that model and it needs to be taken to an Acer Service centre and/or a technician to be fixed.

StevenGen - Thanks it is the inbuilt 4 GB RAM version that came with the 64GB eMMC drive.   I had a feeling that was the issue here but wanted to confirm.  Again, I ordered the unit last year Sept 8, and delivered on the 12th.  The problem happened on Sept 12th this year, and of course the Acer system recognizes only the purchase date for the unit's 1 year warranty so refused service.   I don't think I'm going to make a further investment here is this is the second issue I've had (diff issue with another system, as I purchased 2 of these on sale at same time) so questioning these units build quality.  Thanks again for your response!
