Hi, Good Morning! Find the Storage information of your unit below.

     Storage Sub System
     Storage controllers (SSD)
      SSD(PCIE) 128/256GB
     Storage controllers (HDD)
      HDD(SATA) 512GB/1TB

As per as the above specs of your unit, the unit has a PCIE SSD, not a M.2 SSD.

Also check the link below and check and for the RAM and SSD/HDD upgrades for your unit. They are Crucial and they guarantee compatibility with your exact model. Write down the part number for your reference and then order it from Amazon, it's cheaper and also has fast delivery. It is the most tested to be working.

I hope that this is helpful to you! If I have answered your question click YES alone please, thank you  :3

    Good afternoon Tattie !

YES, this model has an M.2 slot in factor 2280 but is only supported by the PCIe NVMe Gen3x2 standard, not supported by the Sata 3 standard

Hey MaClane, do you happen to know if this works for model a315-22-65gt? I tried using a m2 sata, and it didn’t show up in my bios.

I just installed a TimeTec 2.5" SDD drive into my Acer Aspire 3 A315-22-924K and when I turned it on it says No Bootable drive, does anyone know what this means and maybe what I should do. Does this mean it isnt finding the SSD or not compatable? I unhooked the battery and the imnstall went in simple enough. Any ideas?

I know in a little late but i will tell it here in case it could helo anyone else in the future ...

ok first off all when you install an SSD you need to set hes status (online) toblet your pc recognize it to do so i would recommend a cheap external ssd case that you rely to pc with a usb or usb-c cable and then after you connected it to your pc (before upgrade ) or too an other pc in case your was already dead ...

you will open window disk manager find your new drive and right click on it and set its status to online after that you can install it in your pc or laptop and as final part youll also need to install windows from a usb drive thats only in the case you havent duplicate your old drive on it before upgrade but i suggest a clean window installation from scratch so you will have the fast boot in bonus (uefi boot) that light your pc in not even 30sec haha have a good day
