I need to enter in safe mode in order to boot from USB (run veritas recovery) and I need to know how I can access the safe mode before the windows login page appears.
The F12 Menù doesn't show any USB bootble devises (GPT). The only way is to go though the safe mode and choose to boot from USB device.
Also I would like to know if this laptop can boot an USB flash drive with legacy boot and if yes how I can prepare the flash drive.

thanks,
Giuseppe

First and if your Swift 5 SF514-54GT works in Win-10 it’s a simple process, go to Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Advance startup so that you can enter BIOS (see below, its the "UEFI Firmware Settings") then go to the “Boot” section and make your USB as the first boot priority, also "Enter UEFI BIOS by Holding down Shift While Choosing Restart"

The Swift 5 SF514-54GT has a GTP/UEFI type BIOS and the best way to create a “Win-10 Installation USB Media” is to do it on your Swift 5 SF514-54GT as the “MBR/Legacy” USB “Win-10 Installation USB Media” will NOT BOOT on your USB Swift 5 SF514-54GT, it has to be a GTP/UEFI type USB “Win-10 Installation USB Media” see here how to create: How to install Windows 10 from USB with UEFI support

    Hi, StevenGen,

I tried, however in the boot option of the UEFI BIOS there is no way to see/select the USB as first boot priority.

I am still trying to find a workaround but it seems very complicated with the laptot or the UEFI firmware (this is my first expierence with this firmare)
