    How come you know that it is not working. Can you please be more specific about the problem.

    Laptop's overheating and I don't hear any fan noise. Not even slightest.

    Run one of the apps that monitor temperatures and give us the temperature your CPU is running at.

    It's always around 60°C

    That's not far off from optimal. Normal running should be in the 40-60C range. There are two modes for cooling, with and without cooler boost. Here are the fan speed tables:
    So, at 62C your fan should be running either at 3200 or 2600 RPM. There might not be much noise at that speed, but the fact that the temperature isn't much higher makes me think it is running...
