Hello everybody!  :)

I have a Spin SP314-51
with Processor Model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU@ 1.60GHZ
and  Graphics Controller Model: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620.
The processor driver version is: 25.20.100.6576.

I wanted to install the latest version (27.20.100.8853), but I couldn't download the appropriate update from the Intel's website or the Acer's website.
The problem with the former is that, the site detects that I already have the latest version on my machine, or when I download and try to install the latest version, I get an error code that tells me to contact the manufacturer (Acer).
If I look for the update on the Acer website, I find that no new driver version has been released for this laptop since 2018.

Is there a way I can still update the driver version?

Thanks in advance for the help!  =)

Could it be a solution if I update the bios?
I don’t want to risk it because my laptop basically works perfectly.  :)
Only just I can't gaming because of the driver version is too old.

Intel does not allow legacy OEM driver to update to generic DCH driver.

So you may try it indirectly by switching to Microsoft's generic graphics driver first and then see if you can install Intel's DCH driver.

    Thanks for the anwser! :)

But could this involve any risk? E. g.: I can't switch back, after the switch?
If the problem persists, is there another option?

    IDK

Never try it on graphics driver myself.

Download the old driver and new drivers. Set manual restore points.
