Acer Nitro 5 AN515-43 Switching to NVIDIA GTX 1065 for Benchmarking

I have a new Acer Nitro 5 AN515-43 with Ryzen 5 3550H processor and GeForce GTX 1065.

I just got it a few days ago, and I'm unused to gaming PCs.

I figured I'd run some gaming benchmarks to test out if it's working fine or not.

So, I noticed by default it uses the integrated Radeon Vega 8. How do I switch to the dedicated GPU (GTX 1650) when I want to run a benchmark test using Cinebench or Unigine Heaven?
I went to NVIDIA Control Panel and changed the 3d settings and physX configuration to choose the GeForce. Is that all that is required to make the computer run on the dedicated GPU for a while?

Sorry if this is a stupid query. I've never used anything with a switching mechanics like this before, and I didn't get a clear answer from googling.

First Make sure you are using latest nvidia software version
    Now follow these steps→
1)Right click on desktop and open nvidia control panel
2)Click Manage 3D settings on the left and then click the Program Settings tab
3)Under Select a program to customize, click the drop-down menu and select you game or benchmark program that you want to run in nvidia GPU
4)Select High-performance NVIDIA processor in the drop-down menu under Select the preferred graphics processor for this program.
5)Click Apply (might need to scroll down to see this button) and then close the NVIDIA Control Panel(Also make sure Vertical sync, whisper mode, power management mode is disable/off, in game, also make sure V-Sync is turned off and fps limit is set to unlimited)

Thanks! That is a very clear answer. I'll save it.

I noticed later that the Windows right-click menu has an option to choose which graphics processor to use for apps. Do you think that has the same effect as going through NVIDIA control panel manually? Or does it not turn off the settings you mentioned that way?

EDIT: Also, this is a GTX 1650, not a 1065. I don't know how I mistyped that. Now people in the future with the same question as me will get confused.

I don't  Because I don't have nvidia gpu. You should follow my steps.
For best performance make sure your nvidia control is updated
