I have a new Acer Nitro 5 AN515-43 with Ryzen 5 3550H processor and GeForce GTX 1065.

I just got it a few days ago, and I'm unused to gaming PCs.

I figured I'd run some gaming benchmarks to test out if it's working fine or not.

So, I noticed by default it uses the integrated Radeon Vega 8. How do I switch to the dedicated GPU (GTX 1650) when I want to run a benchmark test using Cinebench or Unigine Heaven?
I went to NVIDIA Control Panel and changed the 3d settings and physX configuration to choose the GeForce. Is that all that is required to make the computer run on the dedicated GPU for a while?

Sorry if this is a stupid query. I've never used anything with a switching mechanics like this before, and I didn't get a clear answer from googling.
