Hello guys,

i have an Aspire F15 (F5-573G-72HS), its having lately a 100% disk usage for unkown reason, i tried all online fixes but didn't work. I finally thought its an hdd problem and want to change it. Somebody adviced me here that i can not put SSD on my laptop so i want to get a new hard disk. what is better Seagate BarraCuda Laptop 2TB or WD Blue Mobile 2TB ? also is there some good tutorial how can i clone my current operating system on new hdd ?

Thank you all,

    Hi,
I would suggest you install Samsung 970 Evo 256GB in the M.2 SSD slot and use it as a boot drive, get a 2TB Seagate Barra Cuda for your data, M.2 NVMe SSD will improve the performance of your laptop, F is the M.2 SSD in my snip.
Download and install Macrium reflect free program, run it, and clone your HDD to the new M.2 SSD.

    Hello,

Thank you. I will get samsung evo 970 with 500 G as price difference is not much here between 256 and 500G.

Thank you.. i have a question regarding the hard disk... do i need to get a new hard disk also if i installed the ssd? I have a 1 tb internal hdd that is probably corrupted ( disk usage stays at 90-100% all time ) and 2 terabyte external hard disk which i usually use for backup so i was wondering if keeping the corrupted hard disk will affect the system even when operating system is moved to ssd?

Btw and firstly, where did you get “disk usage stays at 90-100% all time” from? Did you get that from “Task Manager” Active Time? As a slave drive or secondary drive never ever gets used at 90-100% all time, that is very unusual as your primary drive e.g. (C:) drive is the only drive that gets used.

After installing the M.2 SSD and you don’t need the data on your HDD then format it but and before you format the HDD, look and see if its still at 95-100% usage?
