Laptop shuts down when I close the lid - Acer Swift 3 SF314-42

I got an Acer Swift 3 SF314-42 a few days ago, and I found one issue.
When I close the lid of my laptop, within a minute or two it shuts down. However, when I check the battery option configuration, it says that the laptop should go to sleep when I close the lid.
And when the laptop shuts down it's hard to start it up. I need to press any key, except for start button, then press start button, wait 10-15 seconds until it starts.
What should I do?

Right click on battery icon (right bottom taskbar) > Power Options > go to “Choose what closing the lid does” (left top side) and see what the settings are for “When I close the lid”? Simple.

    It is not that simple.
From the beginning, it is said that the laptop should go to sleep mode when I close the lid. However, the laptop shuts down completely and incorrectly, and this makes harder to boot it up.
My current solution for this is to hibernate my device.
Is it alright to hibernate a laptop with an SSD?

Yeah, I hibernate both my laptops when I close them when running on battery. It takes just a hair longer to get back, since I have to press the power button to wake them up, but it means I can't get stuck with a dead battery after it's been closed for a half day or longer. Sleep mode uses battery a bit because it doesn't go all the way off.

Updated to 1.07, the problem still remains.

The thig is, I frequently turn the laptop on and off (i.e. hibernate it). I want to know what kind of a toll it will put on the SSD's lifetime.

It shouldn't have an effect that you'll see for a long time. Modern SSDs can handle writes for much longer than the original ones. Current ones tend to be in the 10+ years range.

Interesting, I have the same problem. I feel like it is related to screen interface or something. I tried to install linux on this machine and it couldn't handle the screen so it wasn't boot up. I feel like they are related each other somehow but there's no evidence. What did you do, did you find a solution?

worked for me. I chose "do nothing". It will just turn off monitor light and nothing else.

Got it but it looks like this is not what I need. Carrying the laptop like this is not safe as it is running and heat up inside the backpack

@yech what specifically is set for the "Close the lid" action with and without AC power?

@billsey Now I changed it to "Do nothing" as it is the best option for now. It was "Sleep" for both before.
Do you guys think is there a possibility that this is related to a missing driver? Because when I first installed the windows there was a partition where the drivers placed in it and I have not noticed this issue. After a while, I'm reinstalling, I deleted that partition. And now we're here. Maybe I just didn't noticed but there's a possibility

Probably not, but it wouldn't hurt to go through the Acer support site for your model and try each of the drivers. Sometimes Windows installs something that's less than robust...

I was trying and saw that drivers on the acer website are older than the currently installed ones while installing and just didn't do that. Thanks for help.
