If i press any key it turns on automatically and if i don't press the key screen automatically goes off, if i work with one key pressed on my keyboard then everything works fine, and with in 2 to 3 sec screen goes off, if i lift of my finger from the key,
I know i had to give my laptop to customer service centre
But if you know anything that i can do to resolve this problem

    Hi

Sleep mode is typically used when you want to step away from your computer for a bit and have the system enter a lower power state. Taking a break for lunch would be such an example. When you come back to it all you have to do is press a button and your desktop and programs return to the state in which you left them.

You might have to turn off the sleep mode on your computer.

    To disable automatic Sleep:
    1. Open up Power Options in the Control Panel. In Windows 10 you can get there from right clicking on the start menu and going to Power Options.
    2. Click change plan settings next to your current power plan.
    3. Change "Put the computer to sleep" to never.
    4. Click "Save Changes"

you may try EC (battery) reset by the pinhole method. insert a pin in the hole at the bottom of the laptop for 15-30 seconds.

remember the keyboard is controlled by the embedded controller (EC) on the mainboard.

same here. keys except powerkey works as power, holding on it maintains power flow, but lifting keys for 2seconds will suddenly shuts your computer off. swg2 pressing inside the motherboard wont work. my last action before issues happen is the update of firmware as of july 2020.

Got the same issue when I bought this laptop but I replaced the keyboard under warranty, and now again the same problem has arisen and it's out of warranty.

I press the power key nothing happens. Then I press any other key on the laptop repeatedly then the laptop would start booting. The display shows the acer logo and then after 10 seconds the laptop would automatically switch off midway.

After that I tried pressing and holding any key on the laptop when it starts booting up and surprisingly, it would work normal as if nothing happened but the moment you release the pressed key and the laptop would go dead within 2 seconds.

I have never seen such weird behavior in any PC so far.

I knew that Acer makes low cost ***** laptops but if they can't even get the Keyboard right then God knows the quality of the other component used.
Moreover these clowns have placed the power key within the keyboard and you have to replace the entire palm rest panel just to replace a key or the keyboard.

This is clearly a manufacturing defect and the customers have to pay from their pockets to get this ***** keyboard replaced. Moreover Acer would install the same defective keyboard again and you can expect the same problem again.

Thank you Acer. I am not touching anything acer with a ten foot pole and would tell my family and friends to do the same.

Same for me. My NITRO 5 shows this error. 3 times I changed the keyboard during warranty period in 1 year and 4 time keyboard failed. The spare parts are so bad . Service center is asking 9k rupees for changing. I am trapped. Is there any way?
