Hello Acer Community, I have a significant problem with my Aspire laptop. For the past couple months I have been battling constant random Wi-Fi disconnects that seem to have no solution in sight. It is definitive that it's this laptop and not the router or ISP itself because I do not get randomly disconnected on all other devices within my household even in the farthest reaches of my router. Nor is it the software/games I use/play because it happens with all software/games. I have done the following to try and resolve my issues to no avail:
  1. Flushing my DNS cache.
  2. Renewing my IP.
  3. Restarting my router.
  4. Doing a network reset through Windows 10.
  5. Adjusting my power plan to make sure my adapter doesn't get turned off randomly.
  6. Using a 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi connection.
  7. Moving my laptop and sitting it right next to the router.
  8. Installing older Wi-Fi adapter drivers from Acer/Intel.
  9. Reinstalling current Wi-Fi adapter drivers from Acer/Intel.
  10. Updating Wi-Fi adapter drivers through Intel driver update client.
  11. Scanning for any malware. (Which showed up clean.)
  12. Unplugging all devices from my laptop to see if there could be anything interfering with connection.
  13. Using an external adapter to supplement Wi-Fi card capabilities. (I don't know if this actually worked as it seems the laptop cannot handle the amount of power being drawn even while plugged in to support the devices I typically use with the laptop and will randomly disconnect the adapter. I have tried adjusting power settings for the external adapter but it will still randomly disconnect.)
  14. Dusting out my laptop. (This probably isn't related whatsoever but who knows, overheating could cause this issue. I also have my laptop on a cooling fan while being plugged in.)
This is all I have done and I don't know what I could possibly try to fix my issue. Is my Wi-Fi card fried/dying? I would like a somewhat definitive answer because I'm simply exhausted trying to pin down what could be causing this issue. All answers/suggestions are appreciated.
