EDIT: Realized I asked this in the wrong help forum so just ignore this I guess because I'm not sure how to delete it
Basically, what the title says, I've tried several different dongles and cables and none of them work.
Here is my laptop:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FT1BKMY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And here are all the Cables/Dongles that I have tried:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G1ZZX96/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075V5JK36/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H4VQ4BZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I really don't think the USB-C port itself is defective because I have tried using the port with Oculus Link and it works fine. The port itself is a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with transfer speeds up to 10 Gbs according to the product manual so it should be able to do video out.
Can someone please tell me what brand to get?

According to the Acer datasheet, it isn't stated supporting D.P.:There is a typo in the datasheet. The USB-C port is 3.1 Gen 2 (No support display out):0

Oh. That sucks, I assumed I would be able to use it as such. Could you tell me if using a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter would work with this computer? Or do you know if any adapters that would split the HDMI or Mini-Display port so I can use it to extend the display that way?

Sorry, the specsheet for this model suggests that only an active USB-to-video converter will work on this port. Unless the product manual specifically states that it is for the PH315-53 model, it may only suggest that it might video out capability with a passive USB-to-video adapter because similar predator models do. How many external monitors do you want to connect?0
-
Three monitors, excluding the laptop monitor. My goal is to have dual monitors and a digital art tablet connected.
I have one connected to the Mini-Display port
The second connected to the base HDMI port
The third I was hoping to connect through the USB-C but no dice.
Do you think this would work? https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Converter-Multiple-Monitors-Compatible/dp/B0811LTJ1H/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=usb+3+to+hdmi&qid=1601839367&sr=8-30 -
Yes this adapter should work.

Ok, I'm going to order it, try it out and report back, thanks for your help so far!0

Thanks, Jack, yeah got told the same thing in the other thread I started which is quite unfortunate. I was under the impression that all USB-C was able to be used as a display adapter.
I am going to try a USB 3.0 to HDMI dongle in hopes that it works.
Here is what I am getting: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0811LTJ1H/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2Q675KK39AE01&psc=1
I Will report back to tell if it works.0 -
Here are two active converters that other folks have reported using with success. Please note that you also have mini-DP output so it's not like this model is lacking for video out . Let us know if the one you picked works so we can add it to our list. Thanks Jack E/NJ

Plus you can always use a passive hub as long as you're not looking for more than about a half dozen independent external screens.

wrensey, would you mind sharing which cable you use for the Mini-DisplayPort connecting with a monitor? I tried a Mini DisplayPort-HDMI line it didn’t work. Thanks!0
