Hi,
I tried to make a last upgrade of my good old Predator G3600 I5 6 GB, putting a SSD and trying to install W10.
I started the install of W10, and crashed at the end of the install.
After some reboots, W10 started, and worked for a few minutes... then crashes with a KMODE unhandled exception.

Tried to update drivers, no way to have it stable for more than some minutes.
Tried to check the RAM, nothing found.

Any idea ? is it a crash due to the SSD or a crash due to W10 ?

regards,
f

On other systems that are similar age I've seen issues during the install where the network drivers crash everything. Boot into the old Os, disable the network card, then do the install and finally enable the network card. It should then find new drivers and work as expected. No guaranty that will work on your G3600 but it's worth a try.

I looked at supported processors and mine is Sandy Bridge, which is not supported by windows 10.
I did a W8.1 install which works like a charm. Definitely an OS issue and not a SSD issue.

I see that some people can install W10 on Sandy Bridge, so mystery is still there.
    Not a problem of rams
