B3A20, rooted. On hard reset try, I see lines of Japanese/Korean/? characters. Also, SuperSU blocked by security from unknown sources. I want to remove root and reinstall after system update.  Hope this is understandable. Thanks for any assistance.

Sorry but anything to do with modding a ROOT of a tablet is a very complex procedure and if done wrongly it could brick you Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A20 tablet. Leave it as a rooted tablet as this does not impede the functionality of your tablet.

Your Iconia One 10 B3-A20 tablet came with the Android 5.1 Lollipop. Read the instructions and all documentation “FIRST” before you do anything on the tablet. Reinstall the image and drivers (get all from the Acer site) appropriately, the image is called the “AV0L0.B3-A20.RV03RC06.WW.GEN1” and also install the USB driver which should make your tablet work again.

I’ve done lots of rooting of smartphones and tablets and it does not restrict and/or contribute to any hard reset of your tablet, rooting is mainly done to free certain restricted functions and for Developers mods. My suggestion is for you to do a complete installation of the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
