Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55: Audio driver problem

My acer nitro 5 model is AN515-55, i saw there is a new audio driver version 6.0.8981.1 release date is 2020/09/02 at the acer website, i download it and extract it using winrar, after i install the audio driver, my dts:x ultra is not working, and also the acer true harmony in nitrosense is not working. I uninstall winrar and try to unzip the audio diver file again, i find that there are some appx files got some problem and failed to unzip. What is the problem?

    Sir Jeremy i just made it work. if rolling back is grayed out for you like mine did, i just went and downloaded the 6.0.8928.1 from 2020/05/27.
    just go and input your SN in "SUPPORT" and go to drivers. press "all" and not "latest" and you will see the audio drivers beside each other. download and install the previous or earlier version.  :)

    Just roll back your audio driver→

    To rollback the driver, you may follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R on the desktop screen.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    • Expand the category you want and right click on the driver and select properties.
    • Navigate to driver tab and click on RollBack driver.

    Actually, i had clean install the windows and install all the drivers from the official website on 2020/09/07. I use winrar to extract all the driver folder and found that after i install the audio driver, dts ultra not automatically install on my system,but dts sound unbound is installed and licensed.i uninstall winrar and try to directly unzip audio driver again without using any software, some appx file cannot be unzip. I just install the realtek audio driver second time, the dts ultra is automatically install and working again. There must be something wrong with the latest audio driver for acer nitro 5 AN515-55, acer technician please repair the update.

    To rollback the driver, you may follow the steps below:

    I can't roll back the driver version, because the version is the same, but idk why there is a new update at acer website, the version is the same but the release date is newer.

    hello kind people. i have the same problem with sir jeremy. but i have a helios 300 2020, PH315-53 model. i cant roll back to my old settings too after i downloaded the 6.0.8981.1 audio driver. :(
     can someone tell us the specific audio driver the dts x and acer true harmony to work? or any fix for this at all? ever since the drivers were updated, my dts x cant recognize the internal speakers and the acer true harmony on my predatorsense dont work anymore. can someone please help us? thank you in advance :)

    Run setup.exe and then run Microsoft Store to pull the app.

    Thanks a lot, i forgot that i can choose all version of driver that released, thanks again for the remind.

    you can go to acer website, driver download page, and choose all version of driver, download older version of audio driver.

    i had done it but i found some problems, after i install previous version of audio driver, and i go to system update to check for update, there is some realtek and intel driver need to download and install. After that, my realtek driver cannot be detected, i go to device manager and the realtek driver disappear and microsoft high definition audio driver replace it. I go to acer website again download the previous version driver and install it, my sound is not functioning, my pc cannot detect any audio devices. I download and install the latest version audio driver from acer website again, the audio devices is detected but no sound

    acer official website had released same version of audio driver for acer nitro 5 an515-55 yesterday, and i had try it, the problem is fixed.

    I have the same laptop and had the same problem with me that when I downloaded the new driver my DTS X or ultra were not showing and when I open the app it says to purchase it but don't worry just open the Microsoft store once and it will automatically get downloaded and licensed.

    My acer nitro 5 realtek driver got updated automatically after that my sound was not comming and dts ultra showing please connect external speakers to use dts x ultra so I uninstalled that audio driver and then reinstall it from acer website then my sound was working fine but dts ultra was showing that same problem , I tried to uninstall and install it couple of times but have to face the same problem everytime , please help someone 🙏🙏
