I tried to replace the hard drive, It is on there fine, But I tore the grounded sata cable. The wire is torn from the data cable. Can anyone tell me the name of this says cable type.
Do I can get it up and running. I am afraid to just use a regular sata data cable. I have plenty of the those cables. Also where can Get software to download to the.new ,hard drive. I have not decided whether to go up to windows 8 or 10.

Sincerely,

The Acer part number for the HDD cable is 50.SCY07.003, try searching on that.

Hi, Billsey, I Looked it up and found one on ebay.uk, but the seller won't sell to usa. I found these similar ones. So do you know
If these cables are the same? I need to know before I buy any of the last two.

So many times those look the same until you try to fit it in and you find it's a half inch too short, or doesn't have room to double up the extra length. Ask the eBay seller nicely and he might be willing to ship, I wouldn't expect it to be too expensive to shipping in a padded mailer...

I did ask and I offered to pay more for shipping.  It the one on The computer is short. So if I choose one the others it will harm the computer. I am thinking of getting the one pulled out of another Kind all in one acer.

The wrong one won't likely harm your computer, if it's too short it just won't work and if it's too long it might cause a bulge in the case or break the cable wires when everything is reassembled. I don't have any spec on the length though and they are usually specific to the model, not to the AIO class...
