Hello,
I purchased this monitor a couple months from acer's certified refurbished through ebay. Since owning it I havent been able to get the HDR to work in any game. Running dxdiag it says "advanced color: not supported". I had to check this because trying to turn HDR on through Windows wouldnt allow it. In any game I play HDR is just grayed out. I have the monitor set to HDR-400 but theres no difference than having it off. Ive tried replacing the 2 display port cables multiple times. Ive tried 3 different 2080ti's with it. Im out of options on my end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which XB273K model do you have? There should be a bunch of numbers and letters after that series number, something like XB273K PBMIPHZX...

xb273k gpbmiipprzx. Sorry. Didnt think about that when writing this earlier. Another thing to note. When playing games like battlefield V I can sometimes activate HDR mode but half the screen goes gray with vertical lines through it. The screen stays like that until I reboot the PC.

    OK, the spec sheet says: LED 27" XB273K GPBMIIPPRZX 1MS 1000:1 1920X1080 400CDM G-SYNC HDMI*2 DP*2 USB 3.0 HUB HGT ADJ ROTATE SPK BLK
It definitely supports HDR, though in the user manual it mentions a drive. I see a couple of drivers on the Acer support site, are they installed?

I installed one of the drives off of the support page for this model, the newer one, but there were 2. I dont believe I can install 2 different drives at the same can I?

I tried to install the newer one again just to be sure and it says my drivers are up to date so the driver is good I believe.

There may be two different drivers to handle two different functions. Try installing the older driver. If the newer one is just an upgrade to the older it'll say you are already up to date.

I gave that a shot. It did say it was just up to date.

Did you ever figure this out?
So when I read the manual (We have the same model) it specifically addressed HDR not being available using two DP cables to achieve 4K/ 144hz.
I took this to mean no big deal since what I was after was 4K/ 144hz. It does feel like a slight, but maybe just on paper? I’m still troubleshooting my own issues using two cables, and when I did get the monitor to display in 4K/ 144hz (confirmed) I also noticed HDR support was turned off in Windows now. I haven’t tried any games yet, but I’m thinking that’s the sacrifice for a sharper image?
