I am getting the following pop up  -  The new Microsoft Edge was built to bring you the best of the web

I would be happy to get Edge if for no other reason then to just make this pop up go away. I have Pop up protection but when I try to have it removed it only goes away for a few minutes.  What's sad is that Edge is not available on Chrome so when I try to get I get the following.  There must be a way to make this pop up go away?

Introducing the new Microsoft Edge

    1. Open Edge.
    2. Click the More button in the top right (the one with the three dots).
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Scroll down and click "View Advanced Settings."
    5. Click the slider under the heading that says "Block pop-ups."
This will Block the pop ups.

Edge is not available on Chrome so it's not there for me to open.  The popup is an advertisement wanting me to try it but it's not available and should not even be offered on Chrome for that reason.  I have tried my popup blocker but it does not work.

It's got to be the website you are visiting, not anything specific to your Chromebook.

I'm using the BING search engine, I have looked at preferences and can't find a link to Edge there?

Bing is Microsoft's search engine, so that explains it. They're pushing the popup to you and ignoring your OS. Either switch to a different search engine or live with their ads.

I really like Bing but I may need to consider that.

Yeah, I don't think they have any configuration settings that would allow you to turn that behavior off...
