Got a new Predator Helios 300 (PH315-53), WiFi is super slow, other devices are fine though?

Hey folks,

Shiny new laptop here, all is good except the download speeds are super slow, should be running around 50mpbs, my router's fine, and devices in the same room are running at fine speeds except this laptop.

I've had a look on the forums already, I've attempted:
-Airplane mode ON/OFF, no change.
-in Network settings, changed the Killer wifi card's preference to 5GHz, no change.

Honestly not sure what else I can do, any help? I'll continue searching for answers in the meantime.

Open settings→update & security
i)First pause window update
ii)Then go to delivery optimization tab and Turn off delivery optimization

Open device manager→expand network adapters→right click on your Wi-Fi driver→go to properties→go to advanced tab
Now one by one select Large Send Offload V2 (IPv4) and Large Send Offload V2 (IPv6) then disable it(under value)

Now restart your laptop and check

Did as you said, (already had the update and delivery optimisation turned Off from reading another forum post).

Disabled the two Large Send Offland values to Off.

still no luck, downloading at 2mpbs

Is it to do with the Killer control centre getting in the way? I read that it can interact negatively with some routers?

Ok update:

So I updated the latest App Properties on the Killer Control Centre, and then switched to the router's 2.4Ghz band, I'm running at 50Mpbs on that, and now 15Mpbs on the 5Ghz band?

Also, the Updates & Security has a lot of updates and drivers to download, which is odd as I'd thought this laptop would've come with a fully updated OS?

Could the updated drivers on either Settings or the Killer Control Centre have half-sorted this issue?

I'd rather run on 5Ghz than 2.4Ghz naturally, cheers.

Updating drivers may solve your issue.
Completely update your Wi-Fi driver

Ok so I allowed all the updates within Update & Security to proceed, had to do a few restarts including a couple of problems which were auto-solved... luckily.

WiFi drivers are up to date, 2.4Ghz is running fine, but 5Ghz is still pretty slow. Weird, ever seen a problem like that?

While the 5 GHz band gives you faster speeds at a shorter range. So, if you want the fastest WiFi speeds, you should always use the 5 GHz band. However, the more devices you have on one band, the slower your WiFi.

I think your power saving settings is on just turn off them
Follow these steps-

Right-click the WINDOW button on the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Select Power Options.
Select Additional power settings.
Select Change plan settings for the power plan you would like to change.
Select Change advanced power settings.
Select Wireless Adapter Settings then Power Saving Mode to expand the section.
Select the desired power option. Depending on your system type, you may see Setting for desktop system or On battery and Plugged in for mobile and laptop systems.
Now select maximum performance on both battery and AC
Apply and ok
Restart your laptop and check

Done as you suggested and restarted, 5Ghz still at 15Mpbs, 2.4Ghz at 60Mpbs... Very odd, really as to a loss what this could be, an inherent fault in the WiFi card?

I did both options highlighted in yellow, removing the 5Ghz band from WiFi settings and restarting weirdly created a 2nd 5Ghz connection.. which runs at 25Mpbs, very weird!

Does it get to a point where you start to wonder if it's actually a hardware issue?
