External microphone not detected Predator Triton 300

Acer community, please help me?
I purchased my Predator Triton 300 last week and for some reason it is not detecting an external microphone. The jack is working (as I have tried my headphones) and the microphone itself is also working as I tried it on a different laptop. When I plug in the microphone it is not detected at all, all my Realtek Software is update to date, I have searched Youtube until I was blue in the face but nothing is fixing my problem.

Try disabling and enabling the audio driver in the device manager. Also enable the realtek audio console on the "focus assist" tab

Hey - thanks for your quick suggestion! Unfortunately, I had already tried disabling and enabling the driver (and I also made sure that the drivers were up to date) but that has not solved the problem. The Realtek Console Manager (which is very limited compared to the Realtek HD Manager) was enabled too, but to no avail.
I will gladly try other suggestions0 -

I am struggling to take a screen print. It's a message in the bottom left of the screen which ask "Which device did you plug in?" and then you can select one of 4 options from the drop down menu (I selected mic in). I don't receive any error messages - the microphone just doesn't get detected, the PC continues to use the in-built mic

OFR8 You can just hit prtscr and then use https://snipboard.io/ to paste it then copy the url and add the url as image also im just curious in the control panel in the sound options recording tab there no new device there for u to select as default only the normal array ?

How to fix "HD Audio Manager" missing issue and "headset microphone not detected issue" on Acer predators series??
Ans:
Okey guys just go to

Then Unzip it using 7z or another archiver tool.
Before install it read the below note.[Note if you already have the normal Realtek audio then firstly u have to uninstall it totally from the device manager and also delete the entire folder namely 'Realtek' located under program files ]
Now install it and restart your computer.
Now you can get "HD Audio Manager" in control panel -> Hardware and SoundNow open HD audio Manager and then Put your 3.5mm earphones or headphones on the 3.5mm connector.
After you connect the earphone a popup will appears in which you will be ask to choose the current connected device. Choose "Headset" option and click ok.
[Note incase popup not appear then u have to set it manually by the black analog button located on the HD Audio Manager Window.
Just right click it and then click on "Connector Retasking.." then choose Headset and click ok]
Okey now your earphone mic works properly.
