Hi, i havent used my laptop much at all for the past 1-2 months and have now noticed that the battery drains quicker than normal. When i connected the charger the laptop charged and the amber charging light came on but as of today (13/08/2020) i turned on the laptop and it was at 0% even though it wasnt as 0% the last time i used it so i connected the charger but it charged it to 82% and now it doesnt charge at all. The amber light doesnt come on but when i hovered over the battery icon it says that its plugged in but doesnt say charging. The laptop doesnt seem to lose any battery life whilst i have it plugged in. I have done the battery reset thing where i put a pin in the bottom hole after disconnecting the charger then let it sit for 5 mins then reconnected it and turned the laptop on but no change. Would appreciate some help, wondering if i need to replace the battery? im not very tech savy as you can tell.

Thank you,

I would leave the spin on until the battery powers the unit off then recharge.  It should recalibrate the battery capacity.

Beemer is likely correct here, Windows needs to have the battery calibrated every once in a while, though it may take more times through than just the once. Turn it on and disconnect power. Let it run until it shuts down due to low battery. Plug it in and wait for the full charge indication then repeat. After a few times through Windows should again show very close to 100% charge when it's full, instead of the 82% it's doing now. If that doesn't work the battery itself may be confused, which requires a battery reset. I don't believe your model has a reset hole, so it would require tearing it apart to get to the battery, so try the calibration first.
