touuchpad is not working ,what should i do?

I started using the touchpad now and the touchpad stopped working all of sudden.I check whether is it disabled but it is not.I checked the device manager and found something strange. I have attached a screenshot of the screen.The I2C driver in the HID devices was in error state.So i tried downloading and installing new touchpad and serial IO drivers from acer driver support but it didnt help.What should i do now.Can someone pls help me.Its actually frustrating when i get this type of issue in a gaming laptop.

    You left out some key information, which one is your laptop? ;)

    But don't take it personally, as if having by a gaming laptop meant things were to run flawlessly, it can happen to any kind of system sporting new-ish technology.

    Recently there have been designs in which the touchpad has been wired over I2C and it wasn't until Windows 10 2004 that there were inbox drivers for them in that configuration, anything previous would see the touchpad not working already when trying to install Windows for example.

    Because you mention Serial I/O I expect your computer to be running an Intel processor? If that's the case yep, if the Serial I/O is misconfigured (that's where the I2C bus lives) and you were running 1909 for example, you'd lose the touchpad until that's addressed.

    I'm attaching some Serial I/O drivers to this post, see if they are any good, but please specify the machine you have for more targeted advice ;)

    i am using the Nitro5 AN515-54 laptop. I have to install the touchpad drivers every day as after a long shutdown time of my laptop deletes them or somehow my touchpad doesnt work .i am doing this from so many days and got frustrated already...
    since you suggested me to do this i will surely do it and tell you what happened
