Acer AOD257 Bluetooth device not detected

Hi,

I have an Acer AOD257 but I cannot update the driver of the Bluetooth device after I formatted my netbook.

Originally this model had built-in bluetooth feature, and I was able to update the bluetooth device driver twice in the past (after I formatted it, of course). But recently after I formatted it I cannot update it anymore. My device manager doesn't report any device that doesn't have a driver... When I try to run the bluetooth driver I downloaded from Acer Support, it says: "Bluetooth device not detected".

I am at my wit's end now... I've tried searching about this problem numerous times but to no use. This is my last resort.

I am using Windows 7 32-bit (ever since). I don't know what the problem is. I hope you can help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    1. Reboot the computer and get to setup ( BIOS ) and verify if the bluetooth is ativated or not

Sorry it took me a long time to reply. I've actually given up and just tried to use a Micro SD card to transfer files from my netbook to my phone. I've tried your solution but the 'bluetooth' device is not listed in my BIOS.
