Hello,
I have bought the model via Amazon, however there was not clear answer whether the product screen is using IPS technology or not?
Furthermore, please would you suggest me a ram and ssd to upgrade?
Ram please mention the mhz and correct configuration,
And if there is 2.5" ssd slot would be helpful if you suggest me a ssd for long term use.

Telling if a panel belongs in the IPS or similar family (like VA) is easy, when you have it tilt the screen to the top and see how the color shifts, at some 40º or thereabouts you should see unpleasant shifts already if it is TN.

But to know for sure, once you have it check with HWiNFO and look in Google to find more info about your panel:

For RAM upgrades, once you have the machine as well, check the following guide and you'll know exactly what you need: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/608352/guide-how-to-find-out-if-you-can-upgrade-the-ram-and-which-one-you-need

Yes, there is a 2.5'' place for disks too, but SATA SSDs for long term use depend on the workload you intend for them, your budget, the space you're looking for, etc. Some offer a 3-year warranty, others 5, we'd need more details.

I'm afraid not because they could have used something faster, but because we know the processor the laptop has (an i3 1005G1) we know it likes and its maximum, either DDR4-3200 or LPDDR4-3733. The later is soldered onto the motherboard, so no way to upgrade it (and it will likely downclock to 3200 if you plug a 3200 stick next to it).

And the former is the one that's upgradeable, DDR4-3200 are the sticks of RAM you should look for when upgrading.

In the description it is written DDR4 3200, however I am still not sure if I can upgrade the ssd..
Would anyone please ask the sales team if it is 100% percent ram upgradeable? I am living outside of USA AND CAD so it is impossible for me to call them

That last part made me giggle hehe

This is not Apple, soldered SSDs are not a thing and I hope they'll never be outside of that world. While I'm not working for Acer (very few people here do, and they're moderators and the like, this is a peer-to-peer forum) I get the feeling the A515-55(G) is a version of the A515-54(G) with Ice Lake parts instead of Comet Lake and previous.

Even LaptopMedia.com pictures look the same and they link the upgradability video to that of the A515-54: https://laptopmedia.com/review/acer-aspire-5-a515-55-review-a-good-daily-driver-with-pwm-free-display-and-decent-battery-life/

But yeah, you can rest assured that you'll be able to upgrade the SSD.
