On connecting my newly purchased acer ka220hq monitor as an external display with my MacBook Pro 2020 model (8th generation) using an HDMI cable , I see a pink hue on the acer screen , I am able to see all elements on the screen but everything is pink! Not sure if it is a color-profile issue, please suggest.

A color shift like that can usually be traced to the cable. Make sure it's very solidly plugged in at both ends.

Thanks for answering , but I have checked both points really well and they are plugged in tightly , the pink hue is still there, not sure why ...

Does the latest MacOS have blue light blocking as an option like the latest Windows does? That gives you a pinkish cast to the screen...

@RishK I just received my ka220hq and have the exact problem with my 2020 MBP. is there a way to escalate this issue? Have tried every suggestion out there.

I have the same problem. Please give some guidance it seems like a problem more people are facing and it's not the cable as I just tried 3 different ones, properly plugged

I'm having the same trouble, and just bought 2 of the screens Trying an update to the Mac to see if that helps. The ACER Colour Calibrator isn't available on Mac.

    I have solved, but I don't remember how I solved =) I think I change somethings like that 1080p 720p.

Now I have bigger screen. I am happy, I will code better and faster after this evolution(13inches to 24 + 13 inches).

I seem to have figured out what VarYok did to fix it.

Go to About this Mac --> Displays --> Displays Preferences --> [the pop-up window on your monitor] --> Display

Then "Default for display" was selected for me, so I selected "Scaled" instead. Then I selected "1080p", which reset my monitor somehow and turned it the right color. To get it to the resolution I actually I wanted, I then selected the highest res (2560 x 1440), still under "Scaled".

    Hope that helps someone.
