When plugged in Temperature is a bit higher than usual and when on battery it's reduced greatly.

Aasish26 seems youre suffering from thermal throttling you need to optimise your windows properly and undervolt check here and if still needed repaste it with kryonaut or similar if you can without voiding your warranty or send it back to get it repasted by acer with stock paste also you should never use it on battery the battery main purpose its to aid the adapter with extra power when this one cannot provide enough to the cpu/gpu only use it on battery in emergency and really light works if you use it for gaming you will end u by damaging you battery and having to replace it  good luck :)

Aasish26 as i said above if its already properly optimised and undervolted repasting or getting it repasted its the only solution also make sure the back its lifted 2/3" at all times for a proper airflow its completely normal plugged in it will turbo boost on battery it wont neither overclock the gpu  and if youre interested in the new PS check my thread here and follow the instructions :)

    Whether adapter causes such problems.

Aasish26 look your adapter is fine please understand you cannot game without it (you wont have the full performance without being on AC plus you will kill your battery in a short time then you have to buy a new one) please read everything i already wrote and follow the instructions i already provided a solution on how to solve your issues either do it yourself or send it to acer you can either accept it or completely disregard it its up to you either way its your only option theres nothing eles you can do you are thermal throttling good luck

Have you tried to disable BD Prochot in Throttlestop? Also try using the same windows power plan on both battery and A/C

Yes, that is a good idea anyway. I had ~25 C lower temperature while gaming after I repasted.
Since he has this issue only on AC, it could be a different issue altogether.

BD Prochot introduces thermal throttling for the CPU triggered by other sources on the motherboard. It can be nasty at times. Perhaps it is being triggered on battery and throttling your CPU, that's why you have lower temperatures

arc89 he will only have it happening on AC because on battery as i already explained above the battery powerplan doesnt let the cpu turbo boost neither the gpu overclock which will reduce the performance greatly as the cpu will be stuck at stock speeds

So repasting would be a best option..
