we bought an Acer Swift 1 & continued to work on a word document imported from another Acer laptop that used a student office programme. After a few days, it stopped working. A notice came up saying it was disabled. The word document was now a read only document. How can we get Microsoft word working again.

    Good Morning Carole2020 !

Which EXACT model of your laptop?
The copy of Word provided on Acer devices is trial only, which varies from 30 days to 1 year depending on the version.
If yours has expired, you must purchase an original license to activate at a store you trust.

Some models in this series come with One Year of Microsoft 365.
