I have an Acer aspire laptop, sw5-012 and have issues with it turning  on and I  was told ( maybe )it was the circuit board and tried to do the thing that regard the power button and bottom down volume button and nothing happened. and what is the difference between the motherboard and the circuit board ? And if the circuit board is replaced, will it erase my information on the laptop? (I have asked questions before on this) it is in a computer shop at Circleville Ohio.   thank you, Mary.

The power button circuit board is a small board separate from but connected to the much larger motherboard with a small ribbon connector. It's easily replaced and would not erase any information whatsoever.  Jack E/NJ

    Hi Lovers0 and everyone,
I have also a sw5-012 and its broken power connector. I want to replace the sub-board.
Can anyone tell me how to get a replacement?

Here are the pictures of the power sub-board.
    Thanks.

That looks like part number 55.L4SN5.001, the audio board with the button pieces/switch near the top? Google the part no. for possible vendors/sellers convenient to your location. Jack E/NJ
