Hi, I recently got my Acer predator Helios 300 2017 model motherboard replaced. The temp won't stay below 100°. After the replacement whenever I play games, the games suddenly hang and closes with a error message or a bsod screen. I have attached the ss of the same for your reference.

Can anyone guide me out how to rectify this error or please guide me how to reinstall Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti drivers.

Thanks

First, get the latest gpu drivers (Intel and NVIDIA) as the reasons for which you get the VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE error can be many but, the prominent ones are listed below.

    • Out of date display drivers.
    • Multiple programs are running in the background.
    • Unexpected PC reboots.
    • Overheated system or insufficient power.
See this "How to Fix VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE error in Windows 10" here: https://blogs.innovanathinklabs.com/fix-video_tdr_failure-error-windows/ as this is a comprehensive guide to fix your problems.

    Hi,

My system overheats a lot. Cpu reaches 100° whereas GPU reaches 80-90° I have updated to the latest GPU driver. But still no luck.

harshgupta718 optimize windows properly and undervolt check here  also my advice its to repaste it with kryonaut or similar if you can assuming youre out or warranty (which you probably are even if it was new the warranty its limited) did u got it new or used cpu shouldnt go above 85'ish and gpu 70/75 max above that its thermal throttling on both and cpu shuts down when it reaches 100 bsod's to not burn everything youre lucky you havent already dont use it until you have repasted it properly also buying a 2017 gaming laptop with a 1050ti its a waste of money really not worth it at all not a smart investment minimum these days 1660ti at least but its your money your choice

Bro, I purchased 2 years ago along with a 2 years extended warranty. I still got a 1-year warranty left. Guide me how to optimize properly cause as suggested by you I have been using ThrottleStop for the last 2 months. Since it's in warranty, I have contacted the Acer service center. They have already reapplied thermal paste thrice, replaced my laptop's motherboard, and now have ordered heatsink.

But, to remind you, in case you didn't read my issue properly, this error started after the motherboard was replaced. Earlier my CPU and GPU both reached 100.

So kindly provide a solution keeping that in mind.
