Hello, I bought my Acer Aspire F 15 (F5-573G-541P) back in February 2017. I have barely had any problem running it for my daily gaming routine in last three years. But since last week, the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter keeps disappearing while I am gaming.
If I fix it by scanning for harware changes in device manager, next critical thing it does is to cause windows restart with various blue screen errors such as 'WFP_INVALID OPERATION', 'WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR', 'ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READ_ONLY_MEMORY', when I am not gaming also.

I only played Crusader Kings 2 (offline) and Second Life in Firestorm Viewer (online) these days. My display adapter for these two games is NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. I have a 2.4GHz Netgear router for the internet connection at my home which provides only 3mbps speed from the boradband ISP and 2.4GHz bluetooth portable mouse that I used with my latop.

For last one week, I have tried to look for possible solution over various forums: downloaded and installed original drivers from the acer website, downloaded and installed latest drivers from Qualcomm and Nvidia websites, performed clean Windoes 10 installation, stopped using the wireless mouse (because someone in another forum said the bluetooth and wlan could be struggling at the same time) and disconnected 'Your Phone' but none of them has worked.
I even took it to my manufacturer and got a portable wireless network adapter, but it still crashed while gaming.

Lastly, I thought of giving up on this laptop and buying the Acer Nitro 5, but then today I saw a support question in these forums regarding wareless connection from someone who owns it which makes me wait and seek help for my version here too.

That's too bad, and you have tried several things already, could it be that the card is on its way out?

When a fresh install and different drivers doesn't fix it, I'm inclined to think it's hardware related. You could try getting a new card and replacing it, it's not as expensive as getting a new laptop, but you'd need to open yours.

I'm curious about one thing though:

The portable wireless adapter, did it connect via USB? Did you disable the one that came with the laptop when you were using that one? If you did the problem may be in a different area :/

Thank you so much for replying. Yes, it connected via USB and I disabled the Qualcomm Atheros adapter before connecting with the USB one. Since the problem remained the same, I did not buy it.

I had the believe that maybe the card or some other hardware is on it's way out but looking at the forums and observing a few others having the same issue with their new laptops made me ask for help here. I did have connection drops in past since the internet frequency is bad here but I was used to it, can it cause the whole wifi adapter to disappear at my laptop?

I don't think connection Internet cuts can cause the WiFi adapter to disappear, the connection to the router isn't severed unless the router is restarted (I haven't seen any of that cause the card to disappear).

It seems odd that the system would crash as well when the card is disabled, seems to point to the problem being somewhere else :s

By the way, there's another use who is also experiencing the same thing you are even though they have a different WiFi card and laptop, but they're both made by Qualcomm: Qualcomm Wireless Network Adapter Automatically Disabling/Crashing/Turning OFF only while gaming.

Which Windows version are you running?

I want you to check this article of Microsoft where similar issue was addressed. I think it is same wireless adapter card as you have Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 which was incompatible and they have provided a new version over there and steps to install it. LINK : https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4531941/updating-to-a-new-version-of-windows-10-on-devices-with-some-driver-ve
Check if you are able to install the drivers provided there or not.

You can try something @Arif94, @keshav_c17 has seen an improvement by disabling the Bluetooth adapter instead (or besides) the WiFi one :), the incompatibility could be there.

Leaving it enabled when you were using the USB WiFi adapter would also explain why you got the same results, the Bluetooth adapter is bundled in the WiFi card. It goes through a different protocol, that adapter is USB while the card is PCIe, but it seems related.

Thank you so much! I really had no idea about these updates, I installed it and started running my games again. But again my network adapter crashed, and later as I reinstalled it to run the game again, this time the windows had Blue Screen error again named WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.

But this time I have the primary realization what is causing my drive to crash. At first I unplugged the network wire from my router to see if it causes the crash, but nothing happened. But then I switched off the wifi router and quickly turned it on, as soon as my laptop realized it, the network drive disappeared. So I suppose the network intervention may be the reason.

But my wifi router and internet connection has been like this over years. Could it be the reason that it happened so many times that my wireless card can't bear it anymore and now crashing like this?
