Try undervolting the processor using ThrottleStop if you have a Ryzen CPU or using Intel XTU if you have a Intel CPU. There are tutorials on YouTube on how to undervolt Ryzen CPUs using ThrottleStop. Undervolting should decrease your CPU temperature by about 5-7°C.

Throttle stop doesnt support ryzen 5 3550h.
  • Can you report the temperatures that appear on the hwmonitor?

What paste did you use? For all we know, you might have made things worse by skimping and buying a bad one. Also don't block your vents, avoid dusty places. Once you run HWmonitor and play a game, see the temps. By factory settings, 90C peak and 80C+ average is normal for modern games. You can reduce it if you want though. There are a few common methods.
