I recently got an Acer predator and whenever I launch a game my battery stops charging I saw some solutions regarding this(like keep your laptop charged above 90% and keep it plugged in) and play a game I tried that and it stopped charging after around 10 mins of me playing, I could really use some help thank you

arnavberi2 on AC the battery will not charge until under 40% while youre gaming thats why you have to have the battery 100% full everytime before you start any games or high demanding works the adapter cannot provide enough power to the cpu/gpu and charge the battery at the same time this is how all gaming laptops work and when u reach 40% you will notice the performance decreasing by a lot because the adapter will stop feeding all the power to the cpu/gpu to have enough for charging the battery there is no issue with your laptop its completely normal if you dont want your battery to get damage sooner never start any games without a full charged battery and have it properly calibrated once every 3/6 months depending on the use

arnavberi2 you should optimize your windows properly and undervolt with TS in order to lower the temps and power consumption and its also normal for the battery to discharge while your gaming intensively its the battery main purpose to provide more power to the adapter when this one cant provide enough to the cpu/gpu and as i said when it reaches 40% you have to stop everything and let it recharge (all this depends on the intensity of the games youre playing)
